I know what it’s like to ditch the bigger, traditional wedding and opt to elope--because I’ve done it!
Before we were even engaged, my now-husband and I began thinking of the big wedding we would someday throw. 300+ people... huge wedding venue... the whole sha-bang! But truthfully, it never felt like us.
We quickly realized what we desired was a small, meaningful, intimate wedding that was a true, deep reflection of who we are as a couple. We wanted a wedding we'd enjoy from start to finish and look back on photos (when we're old, gray, and madly in love) and still see ourselves. We knew this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience so we let go of the stress and anxiety, the family obligations and pressure, the huge party centered around everyone but us, and focused on planning an adventure dedicated to celebrating the two of US.
So we eloped!
We said our vows at the top of a desert canyon (a place that holds significance to us) surrounded by 25 of our closest friends and family, and it was the best decision we ever made.
Since then, it’s become my biggest passion in life to help couples all over the world be as obsessed with their wedding day as we are with ours. An intentionally, beautiful, unforgettable experience that reflects who you and your partner are --together.
