Our Wedding Story
I know what it’s like to ditch the bigger, traditional wedding and opt to elope–because I’ve done it!
Before we were even engaged, my now-husband and I began thinking of the big wedding we would someday throw. 300+ people… huge wedding venue… the whole sha-bang! But truthfully, it never felt like us.
We quickly realized what we desired was a small, meaningful, intimate wedding that was a true, deep reflection of who we are as a couple. We wanted a wedding we’d enjoy from start to finish and look back on photos (when we’re old, gray, and madly in love) and still see ourselves. We knew this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience so we let go of the stress and anxiety, the family obligations and pressure, the huge party centered around everyone but us, and focused on planning an adventure dedicated to celebrating the two of US.
So we eloped!
We said our vows at the top of a desert canyon (a place that holds significance to us) surrounded by 25 of our closest friends and family, and it was the best decision we ever made.
Since then, it’s become my biggest passion in life to help couples all over the world be as obsessed with their wedding day as we are with ours. An intentionally, beautiful, unforgettable experience that reflects who you and your partner are –together.

Katie captured every element, emotion, and memory that made our elopement so special and unique. It was truly the best experience of my life that I fear we will never be able to top! I immediately fell in love with Katie’s photography, but the experience she offers is so much more. She helped us plan every step of the way and navigate our itinerary, the land, every detail, and logistics I simply would have stressed over or completely overlooked. This girl is down for ANYTHING!

She made my husband and I’s elopement dreams come true. We were so worried about having the least amount of stress possible, and with loads of communication from her about the day our worries were washed away. She knew all the locations around the PNW so we had loads of options. She’s kind, caring, and also wasn’t afraid to get down and dirty with us (literally, waterfalls are so muddy) which showed us how all in she was to make the photos perfect. If anyone is looking for a personable photographer, even if you’re a bit shy and awkward like us, she’s a perfect match for you and will knock it out of the park, I promise!

Our photos turned out more magical than we could have ever anticipated. She captured us and our day so well and she became both a friend and family during our time together. She was such an integral part of our elopement and her fun-loving, reliable, and incredibly generous personality made our wedding day absolutely perfect. I would recommend her to anyone considering an adventure elopement. She’s the real deal!

Choosing her for our day was one of the best decisions we made for our entire day. We live in North Carolina but wanted to choose a location in Oregon or Washington. While this could have been a stressful experience, Katie made it so smooth. Our photos are incredible – Katie captured us and our personalities perfectly. The day of, ur guests raved about Katie’s organization and ability to stay on top of everything that was going on. I’m so glad that we will have these photos to show our families, friends, and future children. We could not have made a better choice with using Katie as our photographer.

Being a bride during Covid times was not ideal. Our plans changed 2 weeks before we were supposed to get married when we decided to elope instead. When it came to our elopement, she helped us slow down and think about what our ideal day would include and how we wanted it to feel. Her advice helped us connect and experience our day together in a way that felt relaxed, truly meaningful and most importantly – fun! she was the best investment and I will always be grateful for all that she did to make our last-minute elopement so special and for the images we will be able to cherish forever. We feel so blessed to know Katie and can’t wait to have excuses to take more photos with her!
